Push to Start & Keyless Entry - Recent tech add-on for your vehicle - available @ Naviplus. - Pa

The smart key and Push To Start feature allows the driver to keep the key fob pocketed when unlocking, locking and starting the vehicle. The key is identified via one of several antennas in the car's bodywork and a radio pulse generator in the key housing. Depending on the system, the vehicle is automatically

unlocked when a button or sensor on the door handle or trunk release is pressed.

Vehicles with a smart key system fitted have a mechanical backup, usually in the form of a spare key blade supplied with the vehicle. Some manufacturers hide the backup lock behind a cover for styling.

Vehicles with a smart key system can disengage the immobilizer and activate the ignition without inserting a key in the ignition, provided the driver has the key inside the car. On most vehicles, this is done by pressing a starter button or twisting an ignition switch.

Yet the cruel fact with this system is that has been implemented to those vehicles from :

  • European Vehicles - Mercedes / BMW / Audi / Range Rover & Jaguar etc.

  • Highest Trim model of certain vehicles - usually after 2007.

Nowadays most of vehicles come with at least Push to Start feature, regardless of stock or an optional accessory, yet the Keyless Entry system that recognizes the signal from remote and unlocks doors isn't something that is available for every new cars.

The perk of Keyless system, that you do not actually need to use your remote to Lock / Unlock the door is such a high merit.

For example, if your hands are full from shopping or holding something heavy, instead of put it down on ground, approach for the key, unlock and lift those again is somewhat draining.

And at some point even that actions won't be ideal to be executed.

Whilst Keyless system will let you walk towards the door or trunk straight away, and It will sense, unlock the door / trunk - without a single touch to the remote.

Same way goes around for the locking - if the remote signal is moving away from the vehicle - It will automatically lock itself.

Although us Naviplus, is gaining reputation for our Navigation / Camera and accessories system and this Push To Start & Keyless systems are more of Auto electrical area, we've been also providing those systems to our customers and clients throughout Victoria.

The Perk of Naviplus's Keyless Entry & Push To Start system is that, on top of those standard features are:

  • Universal - Compatible with most of vehicles , with central locking system.

  • Quality of what car manufacturers are offering, whilst price of your local Electronic store.

  • Flawless performance : the whole packages are developed and assembled in Korea, granting quality, performance and stability.

Having said those, the central locking is somewhat important and essential in order to install Keyless Entry, if you are only after a push to start button, that's the different story though.

Reference image of the Keyless Entry system.

As you can see, this is the general reference image of the Keyless entry kit, comes with bypass Harnesses those gets connected to car's door and central lock, power - and remotes those will replace your key. (not the actual Key and blade if Push to Start isn't installed).

System gets connected to the Actuator of the Driver side door

And you will be needed to connect those to the doors, mainly the driver side door which controls rest locks in the car - in order to lock / unlock all at once.

Along with the radio transmitter that senses the signal from the remote.

And then , for the Push To Start system, Naviplus's PTS button will come will connection that meets Vehicle regulation from most of manufacturers, which replaces key holder housing and power lines (in Circled area). To a proper:

START button, that follows Ignition -> +Brake to start the engine, just like using keys.

And also, the procedure / after installation wise It won't change anything from the car at all.

Not to mention that your car will be granted with latest Tech that requires less labor but more to show.

This particular Keyless Entry & Push to Start package is somewhat Naviplus is offering for local customers in VIC Australia, strictly supplied and fitted by us, by our Dealership mechanic background technicians.

The price of the both systems supplied and installed may varies to the vehicle, yet the price starts from $755.00 (GST Inc) for most of regular sedan and hatches.

In part 2, we will bring more details from the most recent installation - which same system installed on 1995 build, Mazda MX-5 roadster, Which was fitted almost 2 weeks ago and performing well even right now we writing this post :)
